HB 10 Moves Forward

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Del. Bob Marshall (R-Manassas) recently introduced HB10: The Health Care Freedom Act, and there is good news to report from the House of Delegates. HB10, which will ensure the individual’s right to participate in the health care process and exempt Virginia out of the President Obama’s health care plan (should it become law), was passed out of the Commerce and Labor Committee yesterday with a vote of 8-2 and 1 not voting.

This is good news, and the bill will be heard before the House of Delegates in the next week.

More on Virginia’s 34th House District

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Not Larry Sabato has changed his rating on it from Leans Democratic to Slight-Lean Democratic.  This is good news for Barbara Comstock’s campaign.  Comstock has outraised her opponent, Margi Vanderhye, so far.  This is going to be a close race.  It may depend on how well the up-ticket candidates do in this district.
